Palm Freeware of the Day
NB:This application requires Multitasker 0.99 or higher in order to run. I happen to have noticed that more users have downloaded this program than have downloaded Multitasker. The Palm Pilot gods are not going to swoop down and make it run without it. If in doubt as to where to get it, simply chech the part at the bottom of the page that says “other titles by this developer”.
This is a fingerprint-reading simulator for your Palm, similar to Thumb Scan or Fingerscan. However, it has a couple of unique features
* It is designed to be used in Multitasker and can “lock” a Multitasker session, or prevent a person from using other Multitasker applications until they are authorized
* It is an actual security program, unlike Thumb Scan or Fingerscan which are really only designed for amusement. It actually works by having a user-specifgied x and y position, and if the user touches the genreal position of that spot, they are authorized. Also, if a user fails 3 times, the Palm is completely locked and cannot be used for a period of time. It also automatically logs system lockouts and failed authentication attempts
